Warranty Terms

Equipment Only:

The panels and inverters delivered by Energía Solar de Guatemala, S. A. have a 1-year warranty for defective manufacturing, the warranty does not include: improper installation or handling of the equipment, damage to the equipment caused by accidents and/or natural disasters and/or unforeseen or foreseen force majeure such as fires, explosions, hurricanes, tsunamis, tornadoes, lightning, typhoons, earthquakes, volcanic activities, acid rain, smoke, salt, hail, projectiles from weapons of fire, improper external stress, cracking of the front glass surface, caused by people or objects placed on the panels. The panels have a useful life of 20 years and may lose 1% of their generating capacity per year.

Installation:

Energía Solar de Guatemala, Sociedad Anónima guarantees the Photovoltaic Generation Unit for five years, against defects and/or installation failures and/or electrical failures due to faulty panel manufacturing , inverters or faulty installation. If the solar panel or other components of the Photovoltaic Generation Unit fail as specified in this Warranty, Energía Solar de Guatemala, Sociedad Anónima will replace or repair it as the case warrants. The warranty specified here will not cover the following: Defects caused by changing the panels from the place of installation or changing their position; Defects caused by accidents and/or natural catastrophes and/or force majeure, unforeseen or foreseen, such as fires, explosions, hurricanes, tsunamis, tornadoes, lightning, typhoons, earthquakes, volcanic activities, acid rain, smoke, salt, hail, projectiles of firearm, improper external stress, cracking of the front glass surface, caused by people standing on the panel, sharp weapons or other foreign objects unintentionally or intentionally dropped on the panel. The panels have a useful life of 25 years and may lose 1% of their generating capacity per year.
